Championship clash postponed 18 MINUTES before kick-off despite visitors making 400-mile round trip

HULL CITY have left fans fuming after postponing their Championship clash against Watford 18 minutes before kick-off due to safety concerns.

English football has been impacted by freezing conditions across the UK this weekend, with a number of EFL and National League games being axed.

The Tigers said that while the pitch at the MKM Stadium was playable, there were still worries around the surrounding areas that caused safety concerns.

And fans have not taken well to the news after the last-minute decision, with many pointing to the Watford fans who had made a 400-mile round trip.

One supporter said: “That is absolutely disgraceful, and City should be ordered to refunded the cost of travel – and an extra £100 for the sheer inconvenience – to every single Watford fan who’s travelled. Shameful.”
