Child injured and man arrested after Park Road South crash

An 18-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after the crash involving a grey Volkswagen Golf and a pedestrian.

The child was taken to James Cook University Hospital with minor injuries.

It happened at 4.25pm on Wednesday (January 7).

The teenager has since been released on conditional bail.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson added: “Officers investigating the collision are appealing for information, dash cam or doorbell footage from members of the public.

“If you can help, please call Cleveland Police on 101 quoting reference number 003926.”
