Child taken to hospital after collision in Blackrod

Police and paramedics were scrambled to Manchester Road in Blackrod at around 8pm last night, December 15.

Greater Manchester Police have said the child suffered minor injuries, which were “not life-threatening or life-changing”, and was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson added that “no crimes were committed”.

Eyewitnesses say that the road was closed off by emergency services.

North West Ambulance Service have been approached for comment on this incident.
