Concerns growing for man missing from Scots village as cops launch search

Paul Hughes, 58, was last seen yesterday morning and cops are urging anyone who may have seen him to come forward.

A man has been reported missing from a village in Moray for more than 24 hours, sparking a police search. Paul Hughes, 58, was last seen in the Blackstob Way area of Kinloss at around 7.20am on Monday, January 19.

Police Scotland are looking into Paul’s disappearance and say worries are mounting for his welfare. The force is appealing to the public for help in tracing the man in a bid to get to the bottom of where he is.

Paul is described as being of stocky build, 5ft 8ins, with dark hair and green eyes. He is possibly wearing a black jacket, black trousers and grey/brown trainers.

Cops are encouraging anyone who may have spotted Paul or who has any insight as to where he is to come forward. Sergeant Sarah Dawson said: “Concerns for Paul are growing, and enquiries are ongoing to trace him. “We are asking anyone who may have seen Paul or who has information on his whereabouts to please get in touch with us.” Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2342 of 19 January.
