Dean Midas brings Eve Valentine back in Christmas horror short

The latest short film from Dean Midas, Christmas Eve, will revive the sinister character Eve Valentine, promising audiences another unsettling chapter in her dark story.

The project continues Mr Midas’s trademark style of low‑budget horror with high impact, building on the critical success of previous films that have earned recognition on the international festival circuit.

Fans of the genre can expect the same blend of atmosphere, tension and creativity that has become his hallmark.

The film also marks a return to the Manor House Hotel & Spa in West Auckland, a venue that has hosted several of the director’s projects before and will again play a central role in the eerie setting of ‘Christmas Eve’.

Hotel management expressed their excitement at welcoming the production back.

“We’ve absolutely loved working with Dean over the years and can’t wait to see this new short film,” said general manager Josh Gamsby.

“His incredible talent for horror, especially Eve Valentine, makes every project exciting. We’re proud to continue supporting his work and are especially looking forward to hosting the Eve Valentine Masquerade Ball in February 2026.”
