A dehumifier can draw moisture from the air in homes during the colder months
Dehumidifiers are a wintertime essential, as they draw moisture from rooms and windows, and can also be used to dry laundry. Large-capacity devices can be costly, but Amazon has reduced the price of one of its best-selling ones.
The HumiZap Dehumidifier for Home Damp is currently on sale for £79.99, down from £139.99 – a saving of £60, or 43%. However, shoppers have only a few days left to take advantage of the reduction before it returns to full price on Monday, December 22.
The device can collect 1.3 gallons of moisture per day, and has a designated laundry dry mode, ideal for those who struggle to dry clothes indoors during the winter. HumiZap’s Dehumidifier for Home Damp also features a digital display showing the relative humidity and a 4-colour light ring to indicate the humidity range.
The blue light shows when it’s at 50% capacity, the green light appears when it is between 50-70%, the yellow light appears when it is at more than 75% and the red light appears when it is full of water. The device will stop running when the red light comes on.
This portable dehumidifier features a transparent window, allowing users to see when the unit is filling up and empty it sooner if desired. It features an auto-drainage function, allowing users to run it continuously if desired. The unit also comes with a water outlet pipe to vent the water, if desired.
Save 43% on an Amazon dehumidifier

The HumiZap Dehumidifier for Home Damp is capable of removing 6 litres of humidity daily.
For smaller devices, such as those used in one room or an office, there are portable versions with much smaller tanks. For example, Dunelm has a desktop 1L Dehumidifier for £25, which is ideal for rooms up to 20 square meters.
For a mid-range size, Argos offers a Bush Dehumidifier & Air Purifier for £70. It’s made with a 3-litre tank, three modes and an auto shut-off feature.
HumiZap’s Dehumidifier for Home Damp has more than 900 customer reviews on Amazon, with 2,000 units sold in the past month alone. One user left a detailed review, reading: “This is my second purchase. I spent a fortune last winter trying to get clothes dried. Now looking after a palliative patient, and I just cannot have towels and laundry hanging all over the place trying to dry. This little machine is brilliant and dries the laundry in no time.”
They continued: “It is very quiet when operating, and when the red light comes on, it beeps, warning you that it is full or needs emptying. It can also be fitted with the extension pipe for continuous running if required. Great little machine. Would give it more stars if I could.”
Another person said it is a ‘great little dehumidifier’, adding: “It’s quite small, which is perfect as I don’t have much space. I use it in the utility room to dry laundry, and it works perfectly well. Easy to empty, quiet when operating and great value.”
A different shopper noted a downside, writing: “Works well on a single small room but doesn’t do multiple rooms if placed between them.”
Another buyer had a better experience. They said: “I had terrible condensation issues in my bedroom with the windows misting up overnight. This little machine has stopped all that and is easily pulling four to five litres of water out of the air overnight.”
A fifth person commented: “Great product, small but very efficient and it is also quiet. Does a great job at pulling water out of the environment.”
Another user concluded: “Great little dehumidifier. Water capacity isn’t huge, but that’s not an issue as it turns itself off when full. It has casters for ease of movement. Noise levels are comfortably low, which is a bonus. Perfect for our bedroom and good value for money.”
