Dicksons to open new store at Durham Road retail park in Sunderland
The new location at Sunderland’s Durham Road retail park will be the family-run business’s 34th location and the third in the city.
It comes after an investment of around £200,000 by the company and will showcase a “refreshed design focused on customer convenience”.
The store will feature a self-serve pastry display, an updated till system for swifter service, and a new back-of-house kitchen to allow for greater choice.
Mike Dickson, retail growth and development director, said: “This is the first Dicksons store of its kind in the North East and we are excited to be launching it in Sunderland.
“We chose this location because of its high footfall, making it the perfect area to introduce our new store design and reflect the changing needs of customers.
“While a lot has changed since we first opened our doors, our commitment to providing personal, friendly service has always remained at the heart of what we do.
“With these new features designed to make our stores more engaging and efficient, we’re excited to offer our customers a better shopping experience – whether they’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or tea.”
Dicksons has been a fixture in the North East for more than 70 years.
