A drink driver has been charged after crashing with a child in the car. She fled the scene after the single-vehicle crash in Northstowe on Tuesday (December 2), but was later arrested.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson explained: “Officers were called to a single-vehicle crash on a roundabout in Northstowe, south of the county, on Tuesday evening. The driver fled the scene, but was later arrested after it came to light she had been driving under the influence.
“Shockingly, with a child in the car. She has been charged with drink driving and will appear in court later this month.
