Driver trapped in crash near Coxwold in North Yorkshire
It took three emergency services crews to deal with the aftermath of the collision.
The vehicle was on Byland Road, Coxwold, shortly before 3am this morning when it left the road.
Fire crews from two stations, Helmsley and Easingwold, responded to the 999 call to find the crash had trapped the driver in their car.
They cut off the driver’s door and freed them from the wreckage. An ambulance crew then took the driver to hospital.
Last night saw several degrees of frost across York and North Yorkshire.
