Emmerdale viewers were quick to discuss Graham Foster’s ‘brilliant’ but ‘ridiculous’ comeback on Tuesday night, as the character finally revealed his fate to Kim and Joe Tate

Viewers are desperate to see what happens next on Emmerdale following Graham Foster’s “ridiculous” return.

Fans were all left making the same comments about the comeback, which aired on Tuesday. While we had already seen him onscreen, Tuesday saw Andrew Scarborough reprise his role once more and this time, it was Kim and Joe Tate let in on Graham’s true fate.

Graham was killed off in a whodunnit six years ago, with Kim being a suspect. Joe had left the village by then, but he was left grieving the loss of his father figure, as he explained months ago after his own comeback.

So imagine the look on their faces as Kim hilariously made a comment about the dead staying dead, when Graham walks in very much alive. In his distinctive voice he told Kim “that’s where she was wrong”.

In that moment the episode came to a brilliant end, as Joe and Kim stared at Graham, utterly stunned. Fans will have to tune into the episode on Wednesday to find out what comes next, and how they will react to his fake death.

Fans loved the moment though, calling it “ridiculous” but “in the best way”. One fan said online: “I did love Graham’s entrance to Home Farm. It was just ridiculous, but then the whole thing is! Great TV.”

Another agreed: “It is ridiculous! But I’m still excited to see the reactions tomorrow morning, so I guess it’s working.” A third fan said: “They’re going to be great.”

A fourth viewer posted: “Totally ridiculous but in the best way, can’t wait to see the reactions.” Meanwhile another fan said: “I really liked the episode today, the ending was brilliant.

“Graham being like ta-dah was so good, the looks on their faces, THAT is the way to bring someone back from the dead after six years.” It comes as actor Andrew reacted to his return after being killed off in 2020.

He revealed how Kim and Joe may deal with the bombshell. He said: “If Kim Tate can forgive Joe for harvesting an organ she can forgive Graham for coming back from the dead.

“And if he helps matters by proving himself by fixing some things for them, they will appreciate his skills and his loyalty. But it might take some months.” Andrew’s thrilled to be back, and says it was lovely to reunite with his co-stars.

He said: “I didn’t realise how much I missed it. I came back and I shed a few tears. As it was really lovely to be back. What really sparked me off was when I worked with Harvey, who plays Leo, because I did my last scene with him. He came on set, and he’s now grown up, and he gave me a massive hug and I was just like, Oh, God, it was really lovely. I have loved seeing everyone again.”
