England’s disastrous Ashes tour goes from bad to worse as Jofra Archer ruled out of rest of the series with injury

JOFRA ARCHER has been RULED OUT of the final two Ashes Tests through injury.

In the latest blow to Ben Stokes‘ beleaguered tourists, their only consistently dangerous bowler will now watch from the sidelines.

Archer, 30, has regularly smashed the 90mph barrier, while claiming nine wickets at 27.11 runs apiece, as well as being England’s most economical bowler.

He’s also chipped in with some handy runs, including his debut Test half-century in the Third Test, averaging 25.50 runs per innings.

But now, England will be forced to play on without him – and fellow 90mph+ speedster Mark Wood – after his injury earlier in the series.

A short statement read: “Jofra Archer will miss the rest of the series with a left side strain.

“Get well soon, Jof!”
