The shops will be in the premises of a former John Lewis store.
The opening date of a long-awaited department store in a Cambridgeshire shopping centre has been revealed. Since John Lewis closed in Peterborough’s Queensgate Shopping Centre in 2021, there has been a large vacant space down one side of the centre.
Frasers and Flannels is set to open in the premises of the former John Lewis store. The stores will officially open on Saturday, December 13.
In a social media post, a Queensgate spokesperson said: “Frasers opens this Saturday, December 13 at Queensgate! Thank you for the excitement, the patience, and (let’s be honest) the rumours — now it’s really happening.
“Get ready to explore the brand-new store and experience the latest addition to Queensgate in all its glory. See you this Saturday!”
As well as Frasers and Flannels, a new Sports Direct, Game, and USC store will open in the premises.
Sports Direct will be moving from its current site in Long Causeway and into the shopping centre.
