The 21-year-old will serve his second prison sentence alongside his current one
A drug dealer has been handed a prison sentence for the second time this year. Paddy Beart, 21, appeared at Peterborough Crown Court last Thursday (December 11).
He was sentenced to two years and 11 months in a young offenders institution for being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, and production of cannabis. He is already serving a prison sentence, and this will run concurrent to his current sentence.
Beart, of Creek Road, March, was arrested on May 30, 2024 after officers carried out a warrant at his home. Twelve cannabis plants with a street value of up to £10,000 were seized, along with cannabis buds worth up to £90.
Officers analysed Beart’s phone data and it found he was heavily involved in the distribution of both class A and B drugs in March. There were also messages indicating he was high up in the supply chain, with him paying other people to deliver drugs and instructing those involved in the drugs line.
Detective Constable Rhian Batterham-Jones, who investigated, said: “This is the second time this year that Beart has been convicted for drugs offences, after he was jailed alongside his brother in April. The hard work of our neighbourhood team shows the community that we listen to their concerns and will continue taking drug dealers off the streets.”
