Three men who ran a drugs operation between Cambridge and London have been sentenced. Jayden Wilmott, Ryan Kouame, and Ruben Howard were arrested by Cambridgeshire Police in Regent Terrace, Cambridge on March 19 of this year.
The three were arrested as part of Operation Hypernova, a crackdown on county lines drug dealing across Cambridgeshire. The three men were driving around in a white Ford Focus when driver Howard was found with cannabis and £100 in cash.
Kouame, who was the rear passenger, had 21 wraps of heroin, £415 in cash and a knife. Front passenger Wilmott had 75 wraps of heroin concealed in his underwear and £500 in cash. The three appeared at Peterborough Crown Court on Tuesday (December 9).
Wilmott, 20, of South Park Road, Ilford, London was sentenced to four years and one month in a Young Offender Institution after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin and acquiring criminal property.
Kouame, 20, of Breakspears Road, Brockley, London, was sentenced to two years and eight months in a Young Offender Institution after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin, acquiring criminal property and possession of a bladed article.
Howard, 24, of Wadloes Road, Cambridge, was given a community order and required to carry out 150 hours unpaid work after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin.
Detective Constable Luke Currie, who investigated said: āThese individuals were exploiting vulnerable people and bringing harmful substances into our communities. We will continue to target those involved and disrupt their criminal activity.ā
