Emergency services were alerted to the fire which erupted at a property on Christmas Day shortly after 3pm and remains ongoing.
Firefighters are currently battling a house fire in Kirkcaldy. The alarm was raised around 3:15pm on Christmas Day when emergency services were alerted to an inferno having erupted at a home on the town’s Wilson Street.
Crews, including Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, rushed to the scene of the blaze. Three appliances currently remain on site as efforts continue to get the fire under control.
It is not yet known how many people have been affected or if anyone has been hurt in the incident. It also remains unclear how the fire started.
Photos taken at the scene show blue-lit fire engines parked on the street while concerned residents and passers-by stand huddled on the pavement to observe what is happening.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 3.13pm to reports of a house fire in the Wilson Avenue area of Kirkcaldy.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene. It is a working job and the incident is ongoing.”
