Firefighters called to crash at A59 at Green Hammerton

Firefighters from Acomb and Knaresborough were called to a two-vehicle crash on the A59 at Green Hammerton this morning (January 17).

The incident took place around 11.25am and all occupants were out of the cars upon the fire crews’ arrival.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews provided initial first aid treatment until ambulance crews arrived and took on the care of the casualties.

“Crews made both vehicles safe and handed the incident over to the police.”
