The cause of the fire has been confirmed as accidental
Firefighter were called to a house fire in a Cambridgeshire town this morning (Tuesday, December 2). Fire crews from Chatteris, Ely, and March were called to a house fire at 9.09am on New Road in Chatteris.
The firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire. The crews had returned to their stations by 11.30am after dealing with the fire. The Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed the cause of the fire was accidental.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 9.09am crews from Chatteris, Ely and March were called to a house fire on New Road in Chatteris.
“Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 11.30am.
“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
