First look inside new Flannels store at Teesside Park
The fashion firm opened its doors on Wednesday (November 26), replacing the former Sports Direct unit which closed in March before relocating to a larger unit.
First announced in 2023, the project has been years in the making, with this year seeing the unit revamped with a new front and signs.
The new 17,500 sq. ft shop is spread across two floors and offers a “curated selection of global luxury brands, sought-after streetwear names and emerging labels”.

This includes men’s, women’s, and kidswear from high-end brands, such as Saint Laurent, Off White, Vivienne Westwood, and Stone Island.
Pictures reveal how the former Sports Direct has been kitted out with luxury furniture and designer items ready for shoppers to enjoy as the festive season approaches.

As previously reported, Flannels erected new signs on the store this summer teasing shoppers ahead of the opening.
It came several months after Sports Direct opened its new megastore just metres away in the space of the former Laura Ashley, Argos, USC, and MenKind stores.
The fashion store now joins a number of new additions at the park in recent months and last year, including the B&M Garden Centre, Nike, Primark, White Stuff, Rituals, and Mango.

Catherine Furlong, centre director at Teesside Park, previously said: “This has been one of our most anticipated openings of the year.
“With the festive season fast approaching, the timing couldn’t be better.
“Whether shoppers are looking to treat themselves, find the perfect party look, or pick up a special gift for loved ones, Flannels adds fantastic fashion choices.”
