Corinna Baker was “much loved”, her family said

The family of young woman found dead in a Welsh boat yard say they are “distraught” at their loss.

The body of 21-year-old Corinna Baker was discovered at Netpool boat yard in Cardigan on Saturday lunchtime. Her family are appealing for anyone with information about the circumstances of the death – no matter how small the detail – to come forward.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. For the latest court stories sign up to our crime newsletter

In a statement Miss Baker’s family said: “We as a family are distraught at the loss of our beloved Corinna. She was much loved, and she will be greatly missed by her whole family and all those who were blessed to have known her.

“We appeal to anyone who has any information however small to please come forward.

“We ask that everybody respects our privacy at this time and allows us to grieve in peace.”

Her sister also posted, saying: “It breaks my heart to have to say this, this afternoon we got the worst news that Corinna Rose has sadly passed away. fly high gorgeous.

“I wish I told you more how much you meant to me and that I loved you, I will always love you and think of you, I love you sis.”

Dyfed-Powys Police urged anyone with information about the death of Miss Baker to come forward. Detectives say they are particularly interested to hear from anyone who was at Netpool boat yard from around 9pm on Thursday, November 13.

Detective superintendent Wayne Bevan said: “Our thoughts are with Corinna’s family at this understandably tragic time. We have specially trained officers supporting the family and ask that their privacy is respected.

“I urge anyone with any information, to please come forward and support our ongoing investigation”.
