Hampden Park shook with roaring cheers as Scotland pulled off a memorable 4-2 victory over Denmark. Kieran Tierney sparked the breakthrough, sending Scotland on the path to qualify, while Kenny McLean’s sensational long-range strike from the halfway line topped the thrilling victory.

And while the stadium went wild, Rod was cheering just as loudly at home. He watched the thrilling match with his lifelong pal and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, and the pairs reaction was nothing short of electric.

Although Rod was born and raised in London, his loyalty to Scotland runs deep thanks to his father, Robert, who was born in Leith, Edinburgh. A connection which has helped shape his lifelong passion for Scottish football.

Sharing the moment with fans online, the singer posted a video on Instagram showing him leaping around the room in pure disbelief and joy, with his hands waving in the air as the final whistle blew at Scotland’s national stadium.
