Footage shows huge shed fire on Nickstream Lane, Darlington
Firefighters were called to a property on Nickstream Lane at around 5.12pm on Thursday (November 27), after a fire broke out in a shed.
Two fire engines fought the flames, as ‘clouds of smoke’ covered the area and explosions were reportedly heard through the streets.
Now, video footage shows the extent of the fire- which firefighters have confirmed involved ‘miniature butane cylinders and a motorbike’- which was contained to the shed.
The video shows flames engulfing the shed, while plumes of smoke surround the area. Residents can be heard expressing their shock and horror in the footage- though The Northern Echo has muted this content.
The County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDFRS) confirmed they attended the scene and sent two fire engines and a flexi-duty officer.
Two people were injured in the blaze, and an ambulance was called, but later stood down.
