Four suspected county lines drug dealers arrested in York

A 49-year-old man from York was arrested at a property in Tuke Avenue on Wednesday (December 3).

He was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. Also arrested was a 38-year-old man, also from York, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, a 22-year-old man from Selby – arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possessing class B drugs – and a 23-year-old man from Leeds, who was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

All four currently remain in custody, police have said.

A force spokesperson said: “On Wednesday evening (December 3) officers working on an unrelated enquiry attended a property where four men were present.

“On entering the house, officers found suspected cocaine and drug dealing paraphernalia along with an amount of cash.

“Drug dealing harms communities and fuels organised crime which impacts on everyone, including vulnerable people and children.
