I added the shiatsu foot massager to my January wellness regime, and it’s saved me a fortune on splashing out on pricey professional massages – especially now it’s on sale
For the new year, I decided to put more focus on my overall wellness, which meant investing time into relaxing and taking care of myself. And whilst one of my favourite ways to unwind is with a professional massage, it goes without saying that my January bank balance will not stretch to regular treatments.
Instead, I decided to invest in the Bob and Brad Lite Foot Massager to help ease aches and pains, improve my circulation and just generally give me some much-needed R&R after a long day. The at-home foot massager is currently on sale down from £118.72 to £104.99, but when you consider the cost of even semi-regular massages or chirobody appointments, it quickly adds up, making the Lite Foot Massager a great money-saver in the long run.

Although I work an office job, outside of that I spend a lot of time outdoors walking the dog, at the yard with the horse or at the gym, which means my feet are often cold, tired and achey by the end of the week. So when I started adding the Lite Foot Massager into my routine – usually whilst sitting on the sofa watching TV or reading a book – I quickly noticed how much of a positive impact it had.
The Lite Foot Massager combines kneading, shiatsu and rhythmic air compression to target acupressure points in your feet, focussing mainly on the heels, arches and mid-foot. It also has a heat setting that helps keep your feet warm whilst using it, adding to the relaxing feeling.
You can also customise the intensity of both the massage and the air pressure using the included remote control, so you can fully tailor it to what you need. There are only three settings, and I will say I was quite surprised at how intense the higher settings can be, so if I had one thing to nitpick it would be I wish there were more incremental settings to use.
It’s actually pegged as offering professional-grade relief, and it helps encourage blood circulation, ease pain and even help with plantar fasciitis. The Lite Foot Massager is super easy to use; you just plug it in and switch it on then tinker about with the settings, and it fits most foot sizes with space up to a men’s UK11. I also really like that the internal “sock” part is machine washable, which helps keep it fresh and clean no matter how regularly you use it.
Although the Lite Foot Massager has been a great addition to my regular self care routine, there are other makes and models on the market if you’re looking for something similar. At Curry’s you can snap up the RENPHO Compact Shiatsu Foot Massager for £99.99 down from £109.99, whilst at Boots the Homedics Foot Flow Vibration Massager is down from £149.99 to £129.99.
Whether you’re looking for something to help improve circulation and pain, or just want a low-maintenance and easy way to wind down after a day at work, I can’t recommend getting a foot massager enough. It definitely feels like a little bit of luxury in my every day life.
