This year’s I’m A Celebrity saw a potential romance between Shona McGarty and Aitch with one moment convincing fans of their connection in camp
I’m A Celebrity viewers are convinced there is a jungle romance ready for the real world. For the last three weeks a friendship has been brewing between Aitch and Shona McGarty.
With viewers speculating if there was more to the bond, fans now believe they’ve spotted a tell tale sign there is a romantic connection. And with Aitch surprisingly leaving the ITV show in fourth position, viewers think a moment before he left camp confirms their thoughts.
The musician and EastEnders star shared an affectionate embrace as he said his goodbyes. Fans didn’t let the moment go without commenting and quickly took to Twitter /X to let their feelings be known.

One user wrote: “The aitch and Shona hug,” while sharing an emoji face crying. Another user echoed the opinion and said: “Shona heartbroken that aitch went out.”
““Only one more day till I see him Again” They’re just made for each other aitch & shona,” a third said. And a fourth joked: “I can’t wait for the Aitch & Shona wedding.”
Following his exit, Aitch touched on their bond and any potential romance. Speaking after leaving the jungle, he said they bonded over music – but were just friends.
He insisted: “Obviously, I’ve not watched the show, so I don’t know what’s been put out there in any way or anything. But it was nothing like that.” And he added the pair simply have ” the same sense of humour”.
Aitch went on: “Knowing that she’s trying to come out of the jungle and pursue this music career – and me having a music career – it was just more like, there’s only really me and Martin she can speak to about certain things.
“And I think just because of my age, no one’s going to say that she had a romance with Martin. So unfortunately, I’m the next option. So romantic? No, not at all. Not at all.”
Aitch said he was willing to introduce her to some of his contacts in the music industry.
Ruby Wax also gave her views on any potential romance between the pair. Speaking after leaving the jungle, Ruby claimed Shona opened up to her about the musician. The star told how the EastEnders actress secretly confided in her that Aitch just was “not her type”.
But she also had stern words for Shona after she was spotted scoffing butter which had been smuggled into camp. Ruby branded the actress “selfish” and “entitled”.
Opening up about Shona’s confession about Aitch, Ruby said: “He’s not her type at all. She said she likes hunky, bigger men so that she feels female, so he wasn’t on the list at all.”
