The duo have been given a lot of power for the second week of the ITV series

I’m A Celebrity fans said ‘give them their own show’ as they branded Aitch and Angry Ginge the ‘new Ant and Dec’ following an eventful night on the ITV programme.

Viewers assumed that video game streamer Ginge would be drawn to UK rapper Aitch, with the pair already close friends prior to heading into the jungle. They’ve collaborated on multiple YouTube videos together in the past.

While it remains unclear if their campmates know about their history together. The duo have been seen bantering back and forth between each other over the course of the first week of the Ant and Dec programme.

Back in the series’ first episode, Aitch said upon seeing Ginge: “That’s not Ginge! I’ve come on the show to get away from people like Angry Ginge.”

From there, it looked like they would be keeping their distance from each other. The first few days in camp saw Ginge striking up a surprising friendship with comedian Ruby Wax, while Aitch was drawn to EastEnders actress Shona McGarty.

However, things changed on Sunday evening (November 23) when it was time for the celebrities to learn the public had been voting for a new camp leader.

Having already been chosen for the bulk of Bushtucker Trials between them, Aitch was revealed to be the new leader, and he immediately decided upon Ginge as his deputy.

Thanks to being camp leaders, they get to sit in the leader’s comfy seats around the campfire, sleep in the treehouse and use the treehouse dunny. In the duo’s first meeting, Ginge was seeking to make Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson go on dishes duties as a result of them getting power upon their late arrival.

When it came time to delegate new chores to the camp, they decided Jack Osbourne and Alex Scott would be camp chefs, Shona and Kelly Brook would be water, Eddie Kadi and Martin Kemp would be on wood , while Ruby and Lisa Riley were tasked with managing the dunny.

Earlier in the episode, Ginge took on his third trial of the series when he took on ‘Terror-flying tours’. Ant and Dec explained that Ginge had to place his head in a series of head boxes, with each box transporting him to a different location. Once there he would have to release the stars using only his mouth or tongue.

After initially pretending he only won five stars, the camp discovered Ginge had in fact won ten stars for camp when the food was dropped down to them and they prepared crocodile feet to feast on.

While it isn’t clear how Ginge and Aitch will cope with their new responsibilities, fans rushed to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their excitement over what path they’ll go down after the series concludes.
