The sixth celebrity voted out of I’m A Celebrity has been named, leaving ITV viewers gutted

In the latest episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, hosts Ant and Dec made their way into camp to announce the next celebrity to be voted off the popular ITV show.

Upon their arrival, they revealed that Martin Kemp’s stint in the Australian jungle had come to an end, just a few days shy of the grand finale on Sunday night (December 7).

The remaining celebrities were quick to embrace Martin, who was announced as the sixth person to depart from the camp, before he went on to discuss his experiences on the programme with Ant and Dec. So far, viewers have witnessed the exits of Alex Scott, Eddie Kadi, Vogue Williams, Kelly Brook, and Ruby Wax, much to the surprise of fans.

Martin managed to survive for a total of 20 days in the Australian wilderness, with viewers watching him tackle the most recent Bushtucker Trial alongside Tom Read Wilson on Thursday’s episode (December 4). The duo succeeded in securing five out of seven stars in the Lethal Libraries challenge.

Following Martin’s departure, viewers were quick to voice their opinions on social media. One viewer lamented: “No! Not Martin. Tom better win now!”, as another expressed their disappointment, addingg: “AWWWW I WANTED TO SEE MARTIN TO TAKE ON THE CYCLONE #ImACeleb”.

Another fan wrote: “Noooo, Martin. He was done so dirty.” One viewer praised him, saying: “I don’t care what people say. Martin, you are an absolute legend I’m sorry to see you go.”

Expressing their sadness at his departure, another added: “Martin’s just a sweet, gentle guy. Oddly emotional about him.” Meanwhile someone else said: “Aww, not Martin, I wanted him to stay after doing well in that trial.”

The 64-year-old reflected on his time on the show as he watched his highlights, telling Ant and Dec: “What a trip! It’s a weird trip. When I’m looking at that, it’s like it doesn’t exist!

“I’m in the middle of a television screen, that’s what it looks like. I’m so used to watching it on TV. I mean, mental.”

When asked about his favourite part of the experience, Martin responded: “The other people, without a doubt. Just sitting around. Not even the trials, just sitting around talking. I said it a few times on there, I’m not one for making new friends, this is the first time I’d done it for years, I absolutely loved it.”

Discussing who he would like to see crowned winner, the singer told Ant and Dec he believes Shona McGarty could take the title, noting how much she has blossomed since her arrival.
