Inside the Traitors live experience, round table, cloaks and shields

From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into the show.

After scanning our tickets, we were given a badge displaying our team’s name (ours was Heather) and taken into a large lounge area.

There’s a bar for drinks and plenty of time to mingle with your group, which is made up of your own friends and any strangers included in your team.

This is actually a crucial part of the game. This is your chance to observe, chat and quietly decide who you might trust…or not.

Before the game begins, you fill out a short form stating whether you’d prefer to play as a Traitor or a Faithful.

The host takes this into account when making their selections later on, which adds an extra layer of anticipation.

We were then led downstairs into the round table room – a beautifully designed space that mirrors the TV show, complete with moody lighting and dramatic décor (albeit on a slightly smaller scale).

This is where the host introduces the game and secretly selects the Traitors in true Claudia-style fashion.

There were 11 of us playing, and I started out as a Faithful.

Determined to do our duty, the team threw themselves into the missions, which come thick and fast.

Murders, banishments and challenges unfold rapidly, keeping the energy high throughout.

The missions are largely mental rather than physical – clever, tricky and sometimes surprisingly complicated – and winning them adds gold coins to the prize pot, just like on the show.

Then came the infamous recruitment…and yes, it was me.

Becoming a Traitor took the game to a whole new level, especially for someone as competitive as I am.

Watching friendships fracture, alliances crumble and people passionately defend themselves was fascinating. No matter who you come with, once the game starts, everyone is fair game.

If you’re murdered or banished, you’re taken to a separate lounge where you can watch the rest of the game unfold via live feed – still very much part of the experience.

With atmospheric lighting, an indoor (fake) fire pit and total immersion, it genuinely felt like Claudia could walk in at any moment.

My fellow Traitor and I made it right to the end…until I heard the dreaded words: “I think you’re a Traitor.” I didn’t win, but my Traitor partner did – and honestly, it’s still worth it!

If you’re a Traitors superfan who loves secrecy, scheming and psychological gameplay, this experience is absolutely for you. And if you’re going as a big group, you can even book a VIP private table for up to 14 people.

The game was organised so that, even if you went out early, you would have taken part in the social aspect and the missions, which meant that you didn’t feel too short-changed.

The experience takes place in London, Covent Garden, and can be booked on the Traitors Live Experience website. It costs £48 per person and took about three hours. I felt it was worth it.

In short, it’s devious, dramatic and ridiculously fun.
