With the Tartan Army gearing up for a World Cup summer and flight searches already skyrocketing, Irn-Bru and Skyscanner are stepping in to help
The 2026 World Cup draw is set to take place today, as the Scotland national team prepares to discover their fate and the Tartan Army begin planning their flights to North America. And now with tens of thousands of Scots expected to rush for flights, Irn-Bru has teamed up with Skyscanner to launch SkyCANner – a giveaway that will help a few lucky fans get to the tournament with ease.
Scotland’s supporters have shown incredible grit during one of the most memorable qualification campaigns in living memory. Now, in collaboration with Skyscanner, Irn-Bru is giving fans the chance to breeze into next summer’s 2026 kick-off.
Three lucky fans and their pals will each receive a set of specially marked cans, that come with a return flight to game destinations next summer, as well as £1000 towards accommodation.
Since qualifying, Skyscanner has already seen a 60 per cent increase in searches in flights from the UK to Canada, US and Mexico. With all eyes on today’s draw, a further surge of bookings by our world-famous army of fans is expected – with speculation that next year could see a record breaking exodus of Scots across the Atlantic next summer.
To beat the rush of bagging flights, three sets of cans have been released with the SkyCANner giveaway, each to be delivered with two return flights to one of the three destinations Scotland will visit during the Group stage, as well as a £1000 hotel voucher and ‘Made in Scotland from Girders’ T-shirts.

Speaking about the giveaway, Kenny Nicholson, director of brand at Irn-Bru, stated: “Our fans are the epitome of ‘Made in Scotland from Girders’. From a near Greek tragedy, to an 11th hour reprieve from Belarus, culminating in a fairytale win against Denmark, we’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster – and next summer is the celebration no-one will want to miss.
“In tribute to this legendary spirit, we’ve teamed up with Skyscanner to create an IRN-BRU delivery that will help fans bypass the rush and bag their travel ahead of time, no hassle.”
To enter the giveaway, fans must comment “We’ve got Girders” on a dedicated Instagram post by Irn-bru and Skyscanner, which is set to go live on Friday Morning at 8am.
Three winners, along with a friend each, will be randomly selected to join what promises to be the biggest celebration of Scottish football ever.
