I’ve sold 1,210 items online while working a full-time job

A VINTED seller has shared her top tricks for making a quick sale on the app, and says she’s made cash from 1,210 unwanted items in two years.

The influencer, who shares money-saving tips with her 11k followers on her @our_litttle_bubble Instagram page, explained how she fits her Vinted sales alongside a full-time job.

Her first suggestion is to ensure a completely white background behind photos of the items she’s selling.

She said to edit the snaps and remove the background entirely, to make the post look as professional as possible.

“I always make sure I take multiple, clear photos. Remove the background so it’s completely white behind the item.”

The busy mum-of-three also stressed the importance of pricing up.

“I price a little over what I’m happy to sell an item for, then when an item is favorited, I message to offer the item at a slightly lower price and let the buyer know I will post promptly,” she explained.

When it comes to items that aren’t selling, the Kent-based influencer said: “I relist or edit items which haven’t sold after a few weeks to bump them up.”

As Vinted sellers will know, having good reviews is vital.

“I post items on the same or next day, this gives me great reviews and means people are more likely to purchase,” she explained.

She also turns on bundle discounts where she can and uploads new items regularly.

And it’s not just clothing that she flogs.

“I don’t limit selling to just clothes! Toys and household items all sell well too, give it a go!”

To maximise her chances of selling items, she lists them on eBay and DePop.

“Just be sure to delete an item from all platforms once it sells,” she stressed.

Earlier this month, we revealed Jess’s Vinted Hacks which could help you create a successful side hustle.

What photos you should upload

High-quality and clear images will help your items stand out on Vinted amongst a vast array of items available on the platform

Here are the five essential shots The Sun’s Rose O’Sullivan includes:

  • Picture one: A clear shot of the front of the dress, gym set, trousers, etc
  • Picture two: The back of the outfit
  • Picture three: Photograph sleeve or pant length
  • Picture four: Close-up of the stitching, or if any flaws on the item include zoomed-in shots of this too
  • Picture five: If they are trousers, take pictures of lining, zips or buckles

Over on her @the_pilotswife TikTok, she said: “For those of you listing on Vinted and trying to make lots of sales this month of January, working your way to a really good amount of sales for 2026, something I have had happen today which I thought would be a really useful thing to share,” she began.

“So I made a sale after somebody offered on a coat that I’ve had on for a few weeks, maybe just over a month.

“I accepted it, I told them I was going to post it tomorrow.”

“But what I did was I then uploaded something else, just one more thing, and then that sold.

“And then I uploaded one more thing just after that sold and that has sold.”

By uploading the items on her Vinted page as soon as the previous one had sold, Jess got herself seven more sales in one afternoon.

“And given that I had only made three sales in like the last three weeks, seven sales since three o’clock today, I’m pretty happy with it!” she said.
