Karen Carney named winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2025
After weeks of shows and dances, it all came down to a tense final, which saw the remaining couples each dance three times.
Karen beat fellow celebrities George Clarke and Amber Davies to take the win and be crowned the winner of this year’s Strictly.
The win sees the former footballer awarded a cash prize as well as the iconic Glitterball trophy.

In the final, Karen impressed across all three of their dances.
They scored two 40s and a 37, to make a combined 117.
Runners-up George and Amber scored 117 and 118, respectively, for their three dances combined.
Karen joins the likes of Chris McCausland, Stacey Dooley, Harry Judd and more as winners of the iconic BBC dance series.
After being crowned the winner, Karen was left stunned, with Carlos left emotional.
Karen said: “I cannot believe it. I just want to say thank you to everybody that’s supported our journey and supported us.
“Thank you to this wonderful gentleman. We are a team and I could not have done this without you.”
Carlos added: “Thank you, Karen Carney. I love you. Thank you for being so incredible this whole journey.”
What does the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 get?
According to a previous report from Hello!, the winner of Strictly reportedly receives a £100,000 prize.

Other reports suggest that celebrities taking part in the BBC dancing show earn a minimum of £25,000, which increases depending on how far they get.
It is rumoured that celebrities earn around an extra £40,000 after week four, and if they make it to the semi-finals, they can get a further £15,000.
Last year, it was comedian Chris McCausland who took home the trophy, becoming the first blind person to win the competition with his dance partner Dianne Buswell.
