Lady Peckett’s Yard in York reopens after police incident

Officers had been guarding the Pavement and Fossgate entrances of Lady Peckett’s Yard in the city centre from lunchtime.

Police vehicles were seen at both entrances, including a crime scene investigation vehicle at the Fossgate entrance, where specialist officers were seen working.

Lady Peckett’s Yard is a narrow alley for foot traffic running between Pavement and Fossgate.
