Fans of the ITV series were left stunned as an islander arrived for his fourth attempt at finding love
Love Island All Stars viewers were left stunned by a ‘messy’ bombshell’s arrival on the ITV dating series, as he branded a co-star ‘the worst islander’ in the programme’s history.
The third series of the Maya Jama series got underway on Thursday night (January 15) to the delight of its fans. Originally slated for Monday (January 12), the series was delayed due to wild fires in South Africa, where the series is filmed.
The series features iconic contestants from previous seasons of the ITV reality show. Beginning in 2024, viewers have seen exes reuniting and new romances forming in front of the nation.
Representing the girls this year is Whitney Adebayo, Millie Court, Belle Hassan, Helena Ford, Jess Harding and Leanne Amaning. While the boys taking part are Ciaran Davies, Jack Keating, Sean Stone, Tommy Bradley, Charlie Frederick and Shaq Muhammad.
It was an eventful evening of drama, with Tommy revealing that he had been messaging Jess before the show got underway and claimed they ‘tried to meet up a few times’. On top of this, Ciara said he was also in Jess’ DMs.
After a heated game of Good or No Good, Maya revealed at the episode that fans decided to pair Sean and Belle, Jack and Whitney, Charlie and Helena, Tommy and Jess, Shaq and Leanne and Ciaran and Millie as the day one couples. Things then turned upside down, when Scott van-der-Sluis was unveiled as the season’s first bombshell.
Prior to entering the villa for the fourth time, Scott said in his VT: “I think I’ve been on a journey for the last two and half years and I’ve always had in my head that All Stars is the final chapter of that journey.
“That’s all I’m missing so it would be nice to find something real and find someone to care about. think my dating life has been pretty publicised, I’ve done three shows and I’ve been to two different continents but I’ve always wanted to come home.
“Love Island is home to me and I’ve always wanted to complete the full circle. After this I am truly retired, I can confidently say I will be truly retired.”
Scott wasted no time in bringing the drama when asked by Maya which boys were ‘no good’ for their girls. He noted: “It is an All Star girl line up but in the end couple I can only see one All Star there.”
In a stunning moment, Scott claimed that Sean was one of the ‘worst Islanders’ to featured on the programme. Taken back by the comments, Sean asked ‘how many finals’ did Scott make, which he asked ‘how many shows’ was he on.
With Sean told he wouldn’t be staying in the villa on night one, viewers rushed to X, previously known as Twitter, to have their say on the heated beginning to All Stars 2026.
