THE M62 has ground to a halt after a crash with drivers warned of severe delays and heavy traffic.

Traffic is currently being held on the M62 eastbound between Junction 11 and Junction 12.

One lane was initially closed off before traffic was brought to a complete stop.

Drivers have been urged to plan ahead with queues building and heavy traffic in the area.

Normal traffic conditions aren’t expected to resume until later this morning.
