Man, 32, arrested after Boosbeck fish and chip shop robbery
Police were called to Boosbeck High Street at about 10.30pm on Tuesday (December 23) after reports of a break-in at the takeaway.
Officers from response, Matrix and the National Police Air Service (NPAS) attended the scene.
CCTV assisted in locating the man at a nearby address, who was then arrested.
The 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place. He remains in police custody at this time.
Enquiries are ongoing by CID officers.
