Grzegorz Bialy, 56, was found dead when police scrambled to a house in Whitburn, West Lothian, on Friday afternoon.
A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a body was found in a home in West Lothian. Police were scrambled to the property on Gilchrist Crescent, Whitburn, on Friday, December 19.
The officers were called to the scene after a report of concern for a 56-year-old man who was injured within the house.
When emergency crews arrived at 2.20pm, however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The force has now named him as Grzegorz Bialy. His next of kin are aware.
Rafal Niewojt was arrested and charged in connection with the death. The 48-year-old, from Whitburn, appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court today, Monday, December 22.
He was charged with murder as well as the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 S27(1)(B), which pertains to a breach of bail conditions.
He entered no plea and was committed for further examination. He has been remanded in custody and will appear again in the next eight days.
