Man arrested after ‘throwing items off Hartlepool roof’

Police were called to Suggitt Street at 12.50pm on Saturday (December 20) to reports a man was on the roof throwing items.

Residents were told to stay indoors and a road closure was in place.

The man came down and was arrested.

Cleveland Police said: “Officers engaged with the man who has since come down from the roof. He has been arrested and taken to police custody.

“Residents can now leave their property and the road closure is in place on Harcourt Street and Duke Street has been lifted.”
