Man dies and person left with life-threatening injuries after crash

Emergency services were called to the crash in the early hours of Sunday morning (January 11)

A man has been killed in a crash and another person has been left with life-threatening injuries. Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash on the A15 near Yaxley on Sunday (January 11), just before 1am.

A Toyota Celica had left the road. The driver, who was a man in his 20s from Peterborough, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in a single-vehicle collision on the A15 near Yaxley.

“The man, who is in his 20s and from Peterborough, left the road in his red Toyota Celica at about 12.40am on Sunday (January 11) and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.”

Cambridgeshire Police is appealing for information and dashcam footage. Anyone with information should call police on 101 or report it online and quote Operation Chesham.
