Man dies in horror crash near Perth as cops launch probe

A 29-year-old male driver of an Audi A4 died at the scene.

A 29-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash near Perth.

The tragic incident took place on the A912 near the Craigend junction in Bridge of Earn at 10.30pm on Friday, January 23.

Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service rushed to the scene in the Perth and Kinross village. The 29-year-old male driver of the black Audi A4 was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been made away.

Road policing officers are now appealing for information following the collision. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing and officers are asking for people in the area to come forward with dashcam footage.

Sergeant Brian McEwen, Road Policing North, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this crash.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I’m appealing to anyone who has information to come forward.

“If anyone saw the black Audi A4 in the area around the time of the collision or has dash-cam footage which may assist our investigation, please contact police.”
