Man stabbed in leg and two arrested after dispute in Horwich
Police were called to a property in Gloucester Avenue, Horwich, just after 5am on Sunday, November 16, after receiving reports of a stabbing.
A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital and received treatment for a ‘minor injury’ to his leg, according to Greater Manchester Police.
After he was discharged, he was arrested on suspicion of harassment in connection to incidents previously reported in August and September.
A 31-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of a Section 18 assault.
Both remain in custody for questioning.
A spokesperson for GMP added: “Officers are reviewing the incidents to understand the full circumstances which led to this morning’s incident.
“An assessment is also being carried out by our Professional Standards Directorate following police contact.”
