The show, which was released on Netflix on 29 December, also features Hilary Musser, Taja Abitbol, Ro-mina Ustayev and Maria Cozamanis. During the show, Maria was seen in tears a fair amount and recently addressed why that was.
Sitting alongside Ro-mina, Maria started a Q&A session with: “So the first question that totally jumped out was ‘Maria why do you cry so much?’. Uh, because I can. Honestly, I think one thing that didn’t really come through when we filmed, like watching it back on TV, is that I was going through a lot at that point of my life and it just happened to be while we were filming.”
She continued: “I was doing a lot of therapy, just working through some stuff that I’d gone through with my mom and I was kind of hormonal at the time so I feel like it was a perfect storm and it just happened to be that I was crying a lot during those weeks of filming.”
