Mrs Hinch fans find amazing way to dry clothes during winter
The obvious answer is to use tumble dryers or place items on radiators. But, with the cost-of-living crisis, many people can’t afford to rely on those tactics.
Also, placing wet garments on radiators can easily create issues when dampness from the washing harms the surrounding wall paint. This leaves a lot of people wondering how to prevent condensation and mould appearing on their windows.
So, naturally, Mrs Hinch fans took to the internet.
Just bought a new tumble dryer and paid, among other things, £15 for installation.
Then realised it’s a tumble dryer and it only needs plugging in.
£15 for someone from Curry’s to plug a socket into a wall.
I shouldn’t make major purchases when unwell. 😆😩

One posted: “What is the best way to dry clothes when washed please as my normal airer is just not drying them quickly enough?”
Suggestions included combining her clothes horse with a dehumidifier and choosing an additional spin cycle in her washing machine.
A dehumidifier extracts dampness from the atmosphere and your clothes to accelerate the drying process without mould developing due to excessive moisture in the air.

A third said: “I got a dehumidifier. I can dry two wash loads in four hours – 4p an hour to run. Thought about it for ages as not cheap, but seriously worth getting one.”
Someone else suggested: “I do a double spin in the machine first and use a winged airer with a cover and put the dehumidifier underneath. Dries really quick. Even towels.”
