A Marks and Spencer fan has shared the ‘must-have’ item when it comes to impressing your friends and family this Christmas – but some people say there’s an obvious issue with the item
Marks and Spencer fans have shared their delight over the perfect Christmas centre piece for their dining table – but some say there’s an obvious issue. The M&S Build Your Own Christmas Charcuter-tree is available in stores from today (December 3) for £25 – and is said to add the missing element to your Christmas table.
Made up of chorizo, salchichón, lemon flavoured manzanilla olives, and pitted kalamata olives, its product description reads: “Get creative this festive season and make your own Charcuter-tree. Stack salchichon and chorizo slices, pop on Manzanilla and Kalamata olives, and add gouda cubes for a fun, showstopping centrepiece.”
In a TikTok video, user @bigdaddybsfoods shares how he bought it last year and couldn’t wait to get his hands on it again for Christmas 2025.
He recommends building it with another person, saying it took him just over an hour to put it all together.
He said: “It’s a real show stopper. Perfect for parties and things like that. Let me know how I did, it looks pretty similar to the picture. Would you buy this?”
While some users shared their excitement over the Christmas tree, others said there’s a serious issue about it – it’s price.
One user said: “I’d want it built already for that price.” In agreement, another user said: “100%” A third user said: “£25 for some picky bits and cardboard. Would cost about £10 for that amount of food in Aldi.”
Another user added: “I almost had a breakdown building it on Christmas Eve.” One more user said: “As if I don’t have enough to do!! Who even has time for this?”
A final user added: “Just buy a pack of 10 party hats from card factory then go to the super market buy your cheese, olives, cold meat, and sticks.
“Make 10 mini ones to place round the table for half the price can even decorate with a star on top.”
It comes after an M&S shopper shared her delight over a £4 Too Good To Go bag, claiming there was enough food inside to host her own party.
Ella Marie, who is known on social media as @ellamariegill, has praised Marks and Spencer for setting the bar with their generous bag.
In her video, she said: “I don’t think any bag is going to beat this one. Let me show you everything I got for £4, I don’t even know where to start, there’s so much in here.”
Pulling out items from the M&S bag, she shared how her lunch for the next two days was sorted thanks to a honey roast ham and cheddar cheese sandwich and a Marmite and cheddar cheese sandwich.
She was pleased to see freeze-friendly items in the bag too including three ready meals – chicken arrabbiata, macaroni and cheese, and a battered sweet and sour meal for one.
But that’s not all because she was also given a side of buttery mash potato, a super green salad and a roasted vegetable couscous.
To go with this, she was surprised to see four bread rolls and a block of brie.
To finish off her bag, she was given a porridge pot which she said she’d be tucking into for breakfast the following morning and an entire, party-sized carrot cake.
