Marks and Spencer has restocked a well-loved Christmas item to add to your 2025 dining table – but some people believe there’s an obvious issue with the popular item

Marks and Spencer fans have expressed their excitement over the perfect Christmas centre piece for their dining table – though some highlight a glaring problem. The M&S Build Your Own Christmas Charcuter-tree is now available in shops from today (December 3) for £25 – and is claimed to provide the missing touch to your festive table.

Comprising chorizo, salchichón, lemon-flavoured manzanilla olives, and pitted kalamata olives, its product description states: “Get creative this festive season and make your own Charcuter-tree. Stack salchichon and chorizo slices, pop on Manzanilla and Kalamata olives, and add gouda cubes for a fun, showstopping centrepiece.”

In a TikTok clip, user @bigdaddybsfoods reveals how he purchased it last year and was eager to get his hands on it once more for Christmas 2025. He suggests assembling it with another person, noting it took him just over an hour to construct completely.

He commented: “It’s a real show stopper. Perfect for parties and things like that. Let me know how I did, it looks pretty similar to the picture. Would you buy this?”. Whilst some users expressed their enthusiasm for the Christmas tree, others highlighted a significant concern about it – its cost.

One user commented: “I’d want it built already for that price.” In agreement, another user said: “100%”. A third user remarked: “£25 for some picky bits and cardboard. Would cost about £10 for that amount of food in Aldi.”

Another user added: “I almost had a breakdown building it on Christmas Eve.” One more user commented: “As if I don’t have enough to do! ! Who even has time for this?”.

A final user suggested: “Just buy a pack of 10 party hats from card factory then go to the supermarket buy your cheese, olives, cold meat, and sticks. Make 10 mini ones to place round the table for half the price can even decorate with a star on top.”

This follows after an M&S customer expressed her joy over a £4 Too Good To Go bag, insisting there was sufficient food inside to throw her own gathering. Ella Marie, known on social media as @ellamariegill, has commended Marks and Spencer for raising the standard with their generous offering.

In her clip, she remarked: “I don’t think any bag is going to beat this one. Let me show you everything I got for £4, I don’t even know where to start, there’s so much in here.”

Drawing items from the M&S bag, she revealed how her midday meals for the following two days were sorted courtesy of a honey roast ham and cheddar cheese sandwich plus a Marmite and cheddar cheese sandwich.

She was delighted to discover freezer-suitable items in the bag as well, including three ready meals – chicken arrabbiata, macaroni and cheese, and a battered sweet and sour meal for one.

However, that wasn’t everything because she also received a portion of buttery mash potato, a super green salad and a roasted vegetable couscous.

Alongside this, she was amazed to find four bread rolls and a block of brie. To round off her haul, she received a porridge pot, which she planned to enjoy for breakfast the next day, and a full-sized carrot cake fit for a party.
