A 29-year-old mum was arrested in connection with the death of her young son. It came days after she allegedly set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of the little boy’s funeral
A mother has been arrested in connection with the death of her young son, days after she started a GoFundMe to help “get back on our feet” following his sudden passing. Raven Louise Broniecki, 29, has been detained on charges of involuntary manslaughter, cruelty to children, criminal negligence causing excessive mental or physical pain in the second degree and reckless conduct, police confirmed.
Officials have released very few details about the incident. They have not yet disclosed what happened to the boy, nor the reason behind his mother’s charges. Broniecki’s arrest comes after she reportedly launched a GoFundMe, which has since been deleted, aiming to raise funds for the funeral expenses, according to local outlet WSAV . She identified her son as Keith Richard. “My sweet baby boy, my best friend, my whole world has recently passed away,” she reportedly wrote in the deleted GoFundMe. “I am trying to raise the funds for bills.

“We spent all our funds on funeral and urns and other things for our baby boy and we now are left with a hefty amount of bills and just need some help to get back on our feet. We are very stressed and heart broken. Still have 6 children to raise and we are trying our best.”
The Hinesville Police Department in Georgia confirmed Broniecki’s arrest, Records state she spent just one day in jail after posting a $22,300 bond.
It comes after a mum and her ex-boyfriend have been accused of killing her three-year-old son in order to “make room for a child that the two of them could have together”. Little Matthew Maison was found dead in the bed of his home in Port Huron Township, Michigan, by his babysitters on February 18, 2018.
His mum, Amanda Maison, and Maurice Houle, who was her boyfriend at the time of Matthew’s death, were arrested in connection with the killing. An autopsy showed that Matthew had died from blunt force trauma injuries and possible suffocation.

The ex-couple allegedly admitted to abusing the young boy when they were arrested, prosecutors have previously said. Maison, 33, has pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree homicide in relation to her son’s death, admitting as she appeared in court to enter her plea on November 5 that she abused Matthew.
The mum, 33, said that on one occasion she pushed his “head into a wall in their home” during a “military time-out”, the St Clair County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. During the plea hearing, Maison admitted she had a two-year relationship with Houle, who was 28 at the time of his arrest, from early 2016 up until the date of Matthew’s death.
Maison told the judge she enabled Houle’s alleged abuse of her child, and “willingly participated” in hiding it from child protective services and police. She also admitted to “actively contriving a plan to conceal the manner of Matthew’s death from law enforcement,” the sheriff’s office said.
