My hair went grey at 20
A WOMAN who said she went grey at the age of 20 has revealed the £7 spray she uses to hide her roots immediately.
Eilidh Wells, from Glasgow, said she swears by the purse-friendly product, which you can buy from Amazon.
On her @eilidhwells account, she wrote: “The devil couldn’t reach me so he gave me naturally dark hair and bright grey roots every 2 weeks since I was 20.”
Eilidh credited L’Oréal Magic Retouch Instant Root Concealer Spray as the best on the market.
In a clip she demonstrated how she uses some paper to cover the other side of her hair, while she sprays away the greys on one side of the parting.
Then she switches over to complete the other side.
Taking seconds, Eilidh said it is the perfect solution to covering her roots in between trips to the hairdressers.
And she is also in no hurry to ditch her routine for an au natural look.
The beauty lover told followers: “Don’t tell me to embrace the grey pls I’m 36.”
According to L’Oreal, the spray is said to conceal roots in just three seconds with natural-looking results.
Not only that, but it is said to leave you with “instantly thicker and fuller looking hair.”
The product is said to be “lightweight” without “no transfer” and lasts until washed out with shampoo.
You can conceal greys with one of their nine shades of sprays, ranging from Blonde, Brown to Black.
Many people were impressed with her easy solution to greys, with one saying: “Found my people.
“33 and my friends are complaining about finding their first greys, I’ve been going grey since 16 and have to dye my roots every 3 weeks.”
Another added: “I feel you! I’m a do roots at home every 3 weeks gal at 34, been doing this since late 20’s. Such a god damn chore .”
However, some people offered up some alternative solutions.
One wrote: “Same girl! I use the Color Wow powder now it’s less sticky and messy!”
A second chimed in: “Do the Michelle visage. Do a silver money piece.”
And a third commented: “That was the story of my life but almost 4 years ago at the age of 46 I decided to embrace the grey & although it is lovely I do miss my dark hair but I’m not mentally prepared for the upkeep of it.”
Why do people go grey young?
FOR many people, grey hair is a part of ageing, coming to some of us faster than others.
If you’re in the later stages of life, then you might not even bat an eyelid at becoming a silver fox.
But if you’re finding silver specks and you’re in your 20s, you might be concerned.
However, one expert has revealed that it’s actually nothing to worry about and in some cases, you can reverse the greying.
Speaking to The Sun, Dr Vanita Rattan said going grey is a normal part of the ageing process.
This is triggered by a pigment called melanin and as we age, our bodies produce less melanin, resulting in grey hair.
“If you find grey hairs in your 20s and panic thinking ‘But I’m so young!’ you shouldn’t be worried. Some people start going grey as early as their teens, but others do not begin to see grey hairs until they are in their 30s or 40s.
“A few grey hairs are completely normal in your 20s, and this premature greying is likely due to genes,” she said.
Dr Vanita Rattan shared the top reasons your locks to go grey and how you can reverse it.
