New indoor soft play for dogs to open in Shildon

Zoomies is the latest venture from Ashley Bennett, who revealed the project on social media after months of quiet preparation.

The business marks a major career shift from hairdressing to working with dogs, something in the post Ashley says has always been close to her heart.

The post states the dog soft play will open at the Dabble Duck Industrial Estate in Shildon.

The post states: “I’ve been keeping a little secret for the past few months…

“From hairdressing to dogs, I’m so excited (and a little emotional) to finally share that my own dog soft play company, ZOOMIES, is coming soon.”

The play area will operate as a 50 minute private booking, offering dog owners an exclusive space without the pressures of busy public sessions.

Two separate play areas will be available, with staggered times to reduce the chances of dogs seeing one another.

The post continues: “Although I’ve been hairdressing forever, working with dogs has always been in my heart.

“This has been a dream quietly growing behind the scenes, built with so much love, care, and passion for our four-legged friends.”

She added that more details will be shared soon as the launch approaches.
