Officers attempt arrest of wanted person in Bolton

A number of officers were seen in a van outside the house on Lever Street in Great Lever, just off Roxalina Street near Heywood Park.

Eyewitnesses said that police turned up on the street at around 1.30pm today, January 28.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that an “arrest attempt” of a “wanted individual” was made on the street.

One local said: “There were lots of police officers on the street, near the park.”

The police puts out lists of the most wanted suspects in Bolton weekly, many of whom are wanted on recall to prison.

GMP warns members of the public not to approach these individuals and instead to ring 999 if they see them.
