The reality star was heard discussing his love life as his pal Vicky Pattison became emotional while suggesting why he is still single
Pete Wicks was seen being almost reduced to tears as one of his best pals, Vicky Pattison, discussed his love life and shared how she thought he was still single because he ‘doesn’t love himself’.
During the latest episode of his podcast Staying Relevant, the TV star was joined by Strictly Come Dancing 2025, as she replaced his usual co-host, Sam Thompson, who was away in Australia, appearing on I’m A Celebrity spin-off, Unpacked, at the time of recording.
They were heard discussing Vicky’s stint on the BBC One dance show, which saw her voted out of the competition with professional partner Kai Widdrington before the programme’s Blackpool special, after Vicky was seen supporting Pete’s stint on the 2024 series.
But conversation soon turned to love, with Pete acting as Vicky’s ‘best man’ during her wedding to now-husband Ercan Ramadan amid his Strictly stint last year.
In the emotional conversation, Vicky shared her views on Pete’s love life, saying “I don’t think you are single because you are not handsome, successful, lovely and deserving of love. I think you are single because ultimately, deep down you don’t think you are deserving of that amazing love.
Tearing up, she added: “I think that once you fix that mindset you will find someone great… sorry.” Pete also seemed to be fighting back tears as he was thrown a box of tissues before asking his pal: “Okay, tell me who you think my dream woman is..”
Vicky replied: “I think you always want someone crazy but that’s not what you need. I think you need someone kind and measured with a little bit of edge. You need someone who’s independent and successful in their own right. I just think you would be the best boyfriend and husband to that right person. I’m not in a rush for you to find her. Whenever you do, that is ok.”
A clip of the conversation was then shared on Staying Relevant’s Instagram page, to with the caption: “Can someone pass us the tissue box too pls. Our latest episode with the loveliest human ever, @vickypattison is out on Spotify & Apple Music now.”
And Vicky was quick to respond, as she commented underneat the post: “You deserve someone as brilliant as you sir… and when it all comes to fruition, I will return the favour and be the best man at your wedding… ps I do not mind sharing this role with @samthompsonuk.”
Fans were then quick to respond. @jasmineblessedthegoddess said: “Pete is such a sweetheart and you can tell she’s right. Hopefully he’s gonna find love soon, he deserves it.” @sarahstallard1990 commented: “Pete doesn’t realise just how much of a beautiful soul he is. Can we make it our 2026 mission to make him realise this.”
