Police appeal after dog bite left victim in hospital
A small brown dog bit the person at 5.42am on Monday (December 8) on Priory Place, in Eastfield.
The dog owner, police said, apologised to the victim, claiming that their dog had escaped when their fence blew down, but no further details were exchanged.

Police are pursuing the dog owner and have urged them to come forward to assist officers with their enquiries.

A force spokesperson said: “The victim managed to get a video from distance of the dog owner, which has been shared with North Yorkshire Police.
“We appreciate that the image we have shared is not the best quality, but we are hoping that the person pictured will recognise themselves and the situation, or that someone else will be able to assist police with our enquiries.”
