Police appeal after serious crash on Wigan Road Bolton
The crash happened at 2.30pm yesterday on Wigan Road.
Police say the motorist was driving east along the road when the crash happened
The driver suffered serious injuries and is currently in hospital in a life-threatening condition.
A 49-year-old man in the parked car received minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
DC Ian Lawton, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident that has left a woman fighting for her life in hospital. Our thoughts are with her family at this time, especially so close to Christmas.
“Initial enquiries suggest this was a medical episode; however, we are exploring all avenues within our investigation and are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.
